Lamb’s Farm
September 23 @ 10:45 am - 1:00 pm
By happy accident, we were able to schedule a second field trip this month. We’ll visit the newly renovated Lamb’s Farm!
It’s more of a mini zoo rather than a farm. You are able to pet most of the farm animals and feed them. There’s also an animal rehabilitation center / shelter on site so we can see how other animals in need are cared for by the workers and residents. The mission of the farm is to provide productive and meaningful work to adults with developmental disabilities.
There are plenty of picnicking areas available for our use if you would like to pack a lunch for your children. Please do not eat within the farm itself (out of respect for the wandering animals’ diets).
Cost:
$10 per child and per adult
$1 per bag of hay**
(ages 2 and under free)
please pre-pay with cash. there will be an envelope at co-op and a sign up sheet.
**if you don’t want to feed the animals, you don’t have to buy a hay bag. You are also welcome to buy as many additional bags as you want, also $1 a piece.
